MPG, Going Green, Big Oil Executives & Gas Profits! Is this just a Scam?
What’s your MPG? That’s right how many miles per gallon are you getting? What are you currently spending on a gallon of gas or diesel? A Softball Mom who travels with my 15yr old daughter to tournaments and practice, pitching lessons and batting cages. My MPG is 12-14 and I currently am paying $4.89 for a gallon of diesel fuel. I guarantee my goal is to give something good back, to strengthen a positive. It makes me sick to see people suffering like we are! With no clue! Some of you had to walk away from your homes because you can’t make the escalating payments, partly because of the current gas prices. Unlike the oil companies who keep taking and taking every opportunity to get their profits, make their payments and continue to live their life styles. I wonder do they really buy their own expensive GAS? On Capitol Hill recently, a panel of oil executives took a lashing from legislators, this time before the House Judiciary Committee, over their prices and profits. “You all are gouging the American public, and it needs to stop,” declared Representative Steve Cohen, Democrat of Tennessee. WOW such strong words and still they talk to deaf ears! What, did the big oil executives really cringe on that threat?
With global oil prices hitting us at $135 a barrel raising the prices at the pump yet again, those big boys are saying we will hit possibly $200 a barrel by summer! Guess what summer is here! What are you going to do? Go GREEN, absolutely, every little thing helps keep us on this green earth, but does this really put money directly in our pockets! Can you really see any relief right now, today? Or is this another scam? Please don’t get me wrong I spend more money on organic products trying to do my part, but this is just a thought, why are we putting so many chemicals in our food anyway! Shouldn’t we be getting organic products already! Who's profit is that? A series of unsettling reports have suggested world oil supplies may not be able to keep up with future demand, a situation that could potentially lead to even higher prices and profits for the oil companies. I guess we could all ride bikes. After all why should we be paying for China’s increase in demand? That's what they are trying to tell us why our prices at the pump are so high. They say China is holding off selling its oil supplies on the international market, stock piling their major oil purchases for their own needs. WOW, the thought of China taking care of themselves, or is this another scam? Is this possibly BIG Brother keeping us controllable in our masses? Is this fear part of the oil companies marketing? Are we going to drill in the last of our precious land when Bush gets out of the White House because he works for the oil companies? Is this the kind of stimulus he really is seeking for our or his economy?
Where will it stop! We are told if investments didn’t keep pace with the growth in consumption, the world might face a shortfall of as much as 15 million barrels a day by 2030. Instead of growing to reach 116 million barrels a day, let’s regroup our life style and show BIG Brother our other options now! Let’s look at the steps for achieving a new life and a new world.
